Carlops Parish Church is a Church of Scotland congregation linked with the churches of St Andrew’s West Linton, and Kirkurd and Newlands. “Linkage” means that the three churches share a minister, but each has its own Kirk Session and is independent spiritually, and in policy and operation while of course observing the established doctrines and regulations of the Church of Scotland. In our linkage, each church holds a Sunday service every week.
We are an inclusive congregation and we welcome people of all denominations and none, who wish to explore Christianity and join in our work.
We refurbished our church in 2009: new heating, new furnishings, new decorative window and restoration of the 19th century organ. The church is serene, dignified – and comfortable!
